handcrafted Bread Making Experiences

Enjoy the feeling of warm dough, how it works in the hand, how to shape it, stretch it, weave in, create and experiment cooking ideas with cooking skills using organic ingredients.

Each class is tailored to the individual in small groups of up to 4 and held at my home in Brighton & Hove. You may want to have a fun day and go home with some loaves of bread or want to learn to bake bread for the first time or want to improve on what you already know.

I  will share the secrets of bread baking and give you personal attention during each step of the way, and you will leave with beautiful warm loaves to enjoy at home.

I will also wrap the day together according to the season and make foods to accompany the bread. It is a space for you to enjoy a day with some friends in my cosy kitchen and make scrumptious, seasonal bread to warm your heart and soul.

Seasonal Experiences

Each season moves our soul, whether we are inside with a candle in darkest winter or feeling alive in our new skin in spring like the plants sprouting up from the earth or sitting in the garden with friends at the height of summer. Baking bread according to the season nourishes and connects us to the changing earth cycle of the year.

Spring and Easter breads represent the return of sunlight and awakening of the soul, Summer breads light and airy, Autumn harvest loaves capture within the golden light of the fading summer sun and Winter breads bring warmth to the soul, filling the kitchen with the smell of spices and comforting cosy aromas.

I invite you to come and bake breads according to the season with the use of my own city garden for herbs and vegetables. If you are interested please contact me and I will arrange with you a bespoke class.
